Our founder started SP Automotive after serving 10 years in the US Coast Guard — and after a dozen overpriced repair bills that left him feeling robbed.
Rather than keep taking his own vehicles to shops he couldn’t trust, he decided to start a repair shop of his own — one that prioritizes honesty and quality craftsmanship above everything else.
SP Automotive is named after our founder’s late father, Stephen Paul Williams, who had him holding the flashlight in the garage before he was five years old.
That early exposure to the garage instilled a lifelong passion for automobiles and the craftsmanship behind them. SP Automotive carries his legacy forward — a lifelong dedication to service and community.
Cars have changed tremendously, but good mechanical work hasn’t.
Our shop is equipped to diagnose, maintain, and repair modern vehicles while retaining the knowledge and hands-on approach necessary to work on older automobiles. We service all makes and models, including carbureted applications, and particularly enjoy working with owners who want to keep classic and vintage vehicles on the road.
